If it's a large tropical island then there is a fair chance of fresh water and at least something edible.
Matches would make 3 months easier, but hell I was a Girl Guide for many years.
So, I would take an axe (or the like) to build shelter (from the sun and those tropical storms) and for protection (you never know what "others" are lurking around.
I would also take toothpaste. I may be stuck on an island but hygiene is tops on my list.
With clean teeth and I can face anything.

A shovel and an axe
1. They could be used for weapons againsts predators.
2. an axe to cut wood to keep warm.
3. a shovel to dig for fresh water, or hide my food so no animals eat it.

I would take medium size bowie knife & rope. I would use the knife to make spears, attaching knife to branch with rope. Spears for fishing and hunting. Also make a sling of animal leather(after killing wildlife) & rope. Will built shelter cutting branches & tieing with rope. Make wooden traps using fish or animal parts for bait for lobster or crabs. I know how to make fire with dry wood. Go to interior of island for any fruit, vegetable, or fresh water.

My diving gear (which would have to include a compressor and fuel of course) and a bevy of beauties. I can build my own barbeque. Forget being rescued.

i will stay and not employing a ship yet i cant stay devoid of my Vaseline (i'm getting chapped lips) playstation - requesting a ship kinda defeats the full objective of the question interior the 1st place however does not it?
