Girls, especially. It just seems to me that an obscene number of girls act stupider then they are to be attractive. Are men really that threatened by smart women? Why is stupidity attractive?

Guys see dumb girls as being easy....and they usually are. Also according to Erving Goffman, men also like the sense of "accomplishment" they get from assisting a dumb woman or answering her questions with obvious answers. Certain women pretend to be dumber than they really are in order to attract these men.
My opinion? Dumb women only attract dumber guys.

Well as I see it there are two reasons for this.
1.) Guys like stupid girls because they are dumb enough to go down on them when they've only just met that day.
2.) Since the beginning of time the smarter people have always been bullied; everyone says it's because the others are jealous and maybe that's how it started off but in general these days, people take the mick out of the people more clever then others; and it isn't very attractive to be a 'geek'

I don't think it has anything to do with feeling threatened.
I think it's more about cuteness^^.
