If they don't get rid of the entire cyst, the remaining cells will keep multiplying until you've got something big enough to remove again. You can really only keep getting it removed or drained if they can't remove all of it.

If she's had surgery, the doctors who did the surgery MUST have made a diagnosis of some kind. They don't start cutting without a reason. Your aunt might not have understood the diagnosis, and the doctors might not have explained it properly to her, but there has to have been a diagnosis with all that treatment.

The best thing to do is to get all her records from all those doctors, surgeons, and hospitals and go to a new doctor with her. Stay with her and insist that the doctor DOES explain everything, at every step. Ask what kind of cyst she has, why it keeps coming back, and what, if anything, can be done to get rid of it permanently.

Unfortunately, there are some kinds of cysts that do just keep coming back, no matter how many times they are drained. If that's the case, her doctors should have made that clear to her. Unfortunately, doctors aren't always very good about speaking to their patients - especially if your aunt is an elderly person.
