Why is it that some PC games come out at the same time as the console games, while others like Halo 2 and Call of duty 3 come out 2-3 years later. I personally think its bull shhit. All games should be released at the same time, EH? So why is that ? Why the 2-3 year wait?

In December Bethesda Softworks released Star Trek Legacy for the PC a few weeks before they released the XBox version.
From everything I have read on the forums, and from personal experience, the PC version was rushed to the market and has been a major disappointment.
Bad keyboard controls and poor on-line play are just a few examples.
The XBox version has not suffered from the same criticism.
It seems that the PC game was rushed into production by re-writing some of the XBox code and then not Beta testing it fully.
My point here is that not all game titles should be released for all formats until they are ready for the gamers to use.

mostly because the console games are more popular than PC games. some game manufacturers release a game on one format. e.g. ps2, but then if it become really popular, then the company has to make more of the same game for different consoles and PC. Its stupid i know. im annoyed that final fantasy 13 is only out on ps3. anyway, hope that answers your question

Consoles are quickly replaced. Your PC will usually last longer and can be upgraded. The game makers need to get as much of out a console as they can before version 2.0 comes out and everyone is camping out overnight to get it.

for example microsoft wants to sell alkot so they release halo first on xbox so people buy an xbox after the fire has cooled down they port it to the pc to milk it out all it got

marketing....when a game is ported over to other systems they need to redo the controls and the mapping...the configurations and the rendering need to be modified as well. This process can take years if the right people arnt on it !
