Electric fields are not good for humans apparently. You can burn yourself also. Why not just use more blankets? Then you do not have to worry about the potential harm and your electric bill will be lower.

I have moved electric devices away from my bed because that in itself is not good for us. Why would anyone want to put an electric field on their body when it is not good to have them near our beds?

I don't know how correct the doctor was, but my older brother had childhood brain tumors. The doctor said that it could be caused by my mother using an electric blanket while she was pregnant with him.

I had a negative experience with one. I was a sleep and was awakened by a loud pop and pain on my big toe, I looked down and I had black on my toe and on the blanket.

using them while pregnant has been linked to an increase in birth defects. To eliminate this, turn on the blanket to warm up the bed, but then turn it off before you crawl in.

all eletrical currents have effects on humans. thats why people that live under power wires get cancer more often the people who do not. the effects might not be as obvious as cancer but other things like chronic sickness and other things might happen.

If you wet your bed, you get electrocuted. That seems a small price for keeping warm at night, don't you?

aside from the risk of fire and electric shock, my husband thinks it dehydrates him...he wakes up with headaches and very thirsty (i don't have this problem)
