ONGC bonus share?

I had bought 5 ONGC shares before the bonus share issued (Nov'06). I got only 2 bonus shares in ratio of 1:2 for the 4 shares held? What happened to the 5th share? The price has fallen down.Is than mean, I have to make a loss out here for that share of the original pre-bonused value?

Not sure how it works over there. Try the investor relations department of ONGC.
