I saw David Gilmour ripping on a PBS broadcast of a Pink Floyd concert from the 90s. You rarely hear him mentioned. Of course, everyone talks about Jimi, Clapton, Van Halen, etc.

I agree with you. I saw the same show, plus I've seen a couple of other live performances of him. He is incredible. I also always thought John Sykes and Gary Moore, both of whom played with Thin Lizzy, though not at the same time, were very underrated.

Underrated there are plenty and mainly it's just unknown players even more. Commercial radio is the blame, playing the same stuff and too much Elton John. Word of mouth and the Web is my best way to hear what the radio won't play.
Oh yeah, I want EVERYTHING Danny Gatton has done.
