pretty messed up but a good movie. i've heard it was based on a true story, but i dunno if that's true or not. interesting if it was true but no way to be sure. i will say this though... i've never been able to see kevin bacon in the same light since this movie. ooo the chills.

I own it and it is one my favorites stories of revenge,. It was supposed to be based on a true story but there were no records in NY backing any of the facts up. Great movie reagrdless.

Excellent, Underated Film. Great acting, Brad Pitt before he was Brangelina, Jason Patric, DeNiro, Hoffman. It really is great screenplay.

I actually got that as a Christmas present this year. It's a very good movie. I was surprised I hadn't seen it before now, and am very glad it was given to me. If you haven't seen it, you should deffinately watch it.

i've never seen the movie, but i read the book it was based on. i remember it being a pretty good read.

i loved it, i have the video,dvd, and book. stories about abuse which turn to revenge are the best movies etc. around.
