Right now I live in a place where the seafood is the BEST and prices to live are EXPENSIVE. I want to find a place where it actually snows in the winter, and is actually hot the summer. Its not to noisy and not alot of crime, but i want somewhere busy enough where that city/state is recognizable for its traits (like Maryland is known for seafood; florida = oranges, ect.) and has plenty of things to do so i wont get bored.

Yea i know it does sound like "the perfect place" but even though Maryland is in a middle state, it hasnt snowed once this year, and barely last year. It was about 70 degrees last week, and i didnt see snow last year. Denver, sounds good or maybe tennesee

Consider the Scranton, PA area.

There is Steamtown Railroad Museum, the McDade Park Coal Mine Tour. There is skiing in the Poconos, buses to Atlantic City. Soon there will be trains to NYC.

Well, I'll of course suggest my state...Kentucky. The food in general is pretty good here, and it isn't an expensive place to live at all (my house is a 3 bedroom brick in downtown and only $200 monthly).....but, it is inexpensive because the poverty rate is high here. I mean, there are plenty of jobs but people tend to be fond of drink and marijuana here..though, it isn't a violent place (low crime rate) or anything and you are un-likely to meet druggies walking down the street so don't worry about that.

Okay, it is HOT in the summer and usually snows in the winter though this winter has been slightly mild. It snowed today for only the 2nd time this winter. Depending on where you go, you are more than likely going to settle into a rural town....even the big cities are rural. But, there is always something to do (but I warn you, it is very country)...fairs, music places, and so forth.

Let's see....if you like alcohol be sure it's a "wet" county. There are quite a few counties that are dry..meaning NO alcohol.

Let's see...there is a lot of natural beauty here (mammoth cave, Cumberland Falls, the moon bow..)

ah, I'm not for sure what all you are looking for but those are a few things that might help...good luck.

well you really cannot control the weather. Its been a really weird winter everywhere you go. But if you really want to move somewhere it snows and gets hot in the summer, I would think Virginia. Actually though I think your better off where you are. Maryland is a nice state, however I have heard that N. Carolina is nice, near the ocean and the cost of living isn't that high there.

I dont know if i were you I'd move to Canada, It snows in the winter and is Hot in the Summer. And crime rate is not that bad where i live, at least anyone can walk around 3-4-5am and not worry about getting murdered or robbed. Here in Manitoba anyways. Not Winnipeg though, that's the capital murder City in Canada. I'd never live there.

Colorado. We have all four seasons. We have the Rocky Mountains. As long as you don't live right in the city, the crime rates are low. There a tons of things to do and the job market is good. Lots of good cheap public transportation. Colorado Rocks.

You want a place where it's not too expensive, you get snow in the winter, heat in the summer, not too much crime, but a place that is nationally recognized?

I think you're looking for heaven. If you find it, let me know.

Don't take this the wrong way but i think you should check out Utah. cost of living is not bad, it snows in the winter and gets hot in the summer, not noisy, not much crime, busy with lots of stuff to do.
Don't go to AZ. we only have one temperature. hot.

I don't have any suggestions on places to live, but when I was trying to find a great place to live, I found the Sperling's Best Places website (www.bestplaces.net). You can answer questions to rate the important factors of a new place, such as low crime, home prices, cost of living, entertainment, employment opportunities, and based on your ratings, they will give recommendations on great places. You can also enter zip codes to find out the demographics of places you discover. The website was invaluable for my move.

You should move to Phoenix. If you want to see snow, you only have to drive a few hours north into the mountains. I heard that the job market is growing by 20%, too.
