He is great when he plays for a German team, easily one of the best players in the world, plus he manages to keep on his feet. He seems to have some issues ever since joining Chelsea...he seems to push over and knock over players more than kicking the ball, and he seems to fall over a lot more, perhaps the grass in the UK is more slippery.
Overall a super player, and rather cute, but should have stayed in Germany.

Why are yall people like sooo hating on him?! Dude, I betcha none of yall trash talkers are any better or anywhere close to him!!! So just shut your traps and keep all that crap in!!! Michael Ballack is a great player who just doesn't happen to be at his best moment! And yeah, his performance during the World Cup wasn't at all great, but it was due to the fact he was injured the entire time!!! That's a fact you can't prove the other way! Cuz imagine if he was giving it his 100%, the German squad would've been unstoppable!!! So there you got it for a fact: Michael Ballack is one of the greatest players today! No wonder he left such a mark in Germany!!! And with Chelsea, he is just starting with the club so no one can say he's nothing. It takes time to prove yourself in a new team! And he will do exactly that! Cuz to me, Michael Ballack is a reincarnation of a German deity! And all you haters better not say jack trash cuz yall know it's the truth--and you can't live up to it!!!

I am not impressed with his performances so far. I thought of him very high when he was in Bayern..I could not watch him play when he was there but now in Premiership I can watch him playing and all I can say is 'He is not worth those money'. So definitely a decent player but not a Great player.

He will be off in the summer.
I don't think that he likes the physicality of our game. I believe that he doesn't like playing at the Wigans and Boltons of this world.
Also, I'm not sure he likes playing in a midfield 3, with Essian and Lampard.
Back to the continent I think!

Sorry, but i think he's just another average player like Beckham that got too much media coverage in their country.
He didn't perform at the World Cup, it was mainly Frienz, Klose and Schwienstieger.. what has he done at Chelsea so far?

he hasn't done what he's capable of yet as he's being used sparingly and not in his preffered role.
He was given a free role to do whatever at Bayern, and now has to sit in midfield while everyone else runs around him, he'd be better playing in a role suited for him, or just at another club.

His name is a little inconvenient for playing in the UK... I can see a few very nasty puns coming up. ;o)
He wasn't too bad during the World Championship, let's see how well he does playing for Chelsea.

He is ok, might not be one of the best players but what I like about him is his leadership. Observe how he leads his team.. absolutely a good captain!
