Why doesn't my computer allow me to extract any files that I downloaded from a file sharing program. Even when I tried another extracting program.

Files downloaded from file shares may come in many diffrent archiving schemes.....You can try WinZip for .zip files....WinRAR for .rar files. There others that have funny names lik .tz that have otehr files .001 .002 ect with them that have custom installers by Wise(look it up) any of those should work for ther proper file. if those still don't the files are either not archives or are corrupt....
