Is there a website where they could tell me if, by seeing a photo of an older dresser I have, would be an antique that someone might buy. I was thinking of giving it away and someone who fixes old furniture is interested in it, Im thinking it will make them money , if they want it?

Phone around to local antique dealers. They might come to your house to offer you an appraisal. That's the best route to go.
If it's not worth anything just donate it to charity.

I purchased an older house in the Chicago area. It had allot of "old" furniture in it. I called an antique dealer. He came over and looked at it and bought quite abit. That's what I would suggest. He may not come out for one piece, but it's worth a try.

Take a photo, show a few dealers or auction houses, they should give you some idea how much they would pay for it, if it is a reasonable sum add 50% and advertise it in local paper

Is the older dresser your grandpa? Is he a cross dresser? I wouldn't say he is worth much!
