I don't know if I should see a different doctor, get an MRI scan, or go see a chiropractor. My back, shoulder, neck, and arm hurts. Please help. thanks! My car is totaled and I'm still waiting for the insurance company to make a desicion on whether or not they will fix it or pay. I live in minnesota so there is a no fault law. the doctor that I first saw just perscribed stuff that made me not able to work due to side affects. I think my back is damaged internally.

It is very common to be sore for several weeks after a car accident, however, it may help put your mind at ease to get a second opinion. If nothing is broken, then you probably have some muscle strains. Muscle relaxers, heat and rest are the best initially, than some mild stretches. When you think you can tolerate it, a good massage would probably help too.

I would start with a chiropractor and go from there since they will actually evaluate the bones and alignments where a regular "doctor" will only give you pain meds and muscle realaxants
