This was a watered down year in college football. No great talent, no dominant teams whatsoever.

Not to mention how the Florida fans keep posting questions every 2 minutes about the fluke of a game they had.

I'm not an OSU fan, I'm a fan of college football in general. I just don't think the best team in college football won, in fact they weren't even playing on the field Monday night.

Sorry people, OSU and Florida BOTH suck, this year's dominate team was Boise State, hands down.
Bucks suck, Gators suck, what does that mean? BCS sucks. screw the gators and buckeyes both.
Bucks were over rated, and gators didn't deserve to be the in the first place.
The only team more over rated than Ohio State is pansy *** Notre Dame

The BCS is 50% popularity and 50% of actual game play. Today, I heard some "experts" saying that Kansas does not deserve to play in the national title game right now because "their program is not supposed to win." Look at who has been winning the championship game. All of the programs have "winning traditions". Florida State has the lowest athletics budget at $38 million. In the BCS, having a big, popular program that has money is more important than actually WINNING GAMES. I think a big reason the BCS is still run this way is because they get the big, popular teams that has millions of fans to watch the game. Imagine what would happen if there was a playoff and two teams like Wake Forest and Boise State made the championship game. It could be a ratings nightmare for FOX. They wouldn't make as much money and would lose viewers. Keeping the biggest teams in keeps ratings up. The BCS is not a true championship, and college football is severly hindered by the fact that there is rarely have a national champion that doesn't have something controversial surrounding the team. To be a true championship, all teams must have an equal chance to win the title, whether they are in the biggest conference or the smallest. That means that teams like Hawaii should have the same opportunities that USC has to win the national title. Now, I know that most people will argue that Hawaii doesn't deserve to play for it, but WHY NOT? Can you give me a good reason beyond their conference or schedule? Why not give Boise State that chance last season? Going back to Kansas, how can you deny a team that has perfectly done everything they can to win a championship the chance to play for it, especially when the teams playing for it made a mistake? Can you consider this championship a real one if every team doesn't have a chance to win even if they do everything right? Let's be realistic. The BCS isn't about crowning a champion. College football now has become all about making as much money as possible. They don't even deny it anymore. The bowls come out and state clearly how much the teams get for playing in the bowls. There's not much respect left in it. It will just continue on as the big money maker. You're right, someone will get screwed this year. It will either be Kansas for going undefeated and not making the national championship game, or Oregon for not screwing up and falling below Kansas. I already think Oregon has been on the short end of things too much, but I think that I would feel worse for Kansas if they didn't make it. In that case, they would have been perfect yet not get a chance to play for the championship. If Oregon doesn't get the chance after playing perfect the rest of the way, they would also be cheated, but they did make one mistake this season, and if they hadn't, they would be #1 and probably make the game. (I know I jumped all over the place here, but I just kept thinking of new things to say.)

This was far from a watered down year and how can there be no great talent with players like Brady Quinn, Troy Smith and the like? It may not have been like last year with Leinart, Young, Bush all in the National Championship game, but Ohio State was the heavy favorite from start to finish this year and Florida proved that they earned their bid to the BCS Title game by thumping the Buckeyes by 27. The reason there are no dominant teams is because all the teams were very good all year and it comes down to the fact that any team can beat any other team on any given day.

I thought that OSU would win, but by no means is Florida the worst Champion we've ever had. Not even close. But they are not the best in the country either. Im convinced of that. They had their night and I give it to em. Good game. That's a tough one though. Mybe Oklahoma in 2000? They were really good, Im just not convinced they were the best. We need a playoff. Boise State proved that the conference you represent does not provide a clear look at how good a team you are.

did you watch any of the game or any other games. the SEC is by far the most dominate conference which is why florida was able to coast in this game. they played almost perfectly, similar to how lsu beat the pants off notre dame. it wasnt a watered down year, but just media polls jumping the gun on who was best. the sec tends to beat each other and dont get the chance to show what they are really made of. they did here, and look what happened. its hard to say that florida is the worst team to win a title when they put up 41 points on a team that allowed barely over 10 a game.

What? First off 41 to 14 is not a fluke. Ohio St. got their butts handed to them.
The better team showed up and won.
This something a 6 year old would post. Stop being such a big baby!!

ohio state didn't play anyone all year long. it showed in this game. lets see .. michigan? lol..come on now...texas? lol..even funnier being as they aren't the same team as the year before. fact of the matter is ohio state didn't deserve to play in that game..but because espn ownes everything (and half of the announcers either went to ohio state, michigan, duke and north carolina-which is why they talk so much about these schools) state got the nod for this game. fact of the matter is most writers and voters don't see half the teams that play so they get their info off of espn.
anyway-don't know what game you were watching but there were plenty of great players and games this year. none of them on ohio state -troy smith won it by default because his team was number one but he didn't deserve it.
don't be bitter your team lost. just accept it and move on. that's what smith did-at least he was man enough to come out and talk to the media about what didn't happen.

no, one year BYU won it by default. that year, BYU had a good team,, they went undefeated. everybody else had a loss. there were 3-5 teams that would have beaten BYU that year, had they played.
similar situation to Boise State this year.
edit--
i'd like to add that i dont accept that florida was no talent, not dominant, not deserving. they won it fair and square. they are a very good team.
