Theyve been raping and killing like crazy..now they are supposed to just come home and play nice? I dont buy it.

Who the heck are you to judge every US citizen who has chosen to serve their country in the armed forces. I am a veteran who served HONORABLY. I have never raped anybody. Sadly, killing is something we sometimes are called upon to do for our nation. It is not killing 'like crazy' but simply doing our duty as ordered. This does not mean we enjoy it, I did not. In any portion of our society there are people who do bad things. The millitary is no different. However, to generalize all who serve or have served in combat for their country is at best irresponsible and juvenile.
Your question disgusts me. It is my hope that most of those who read it will show far more maturity and insight than you have.

first off...you obviously have no idea what in the hell you''re talking about..a very small...say less than 1% of our soldiers over there have even been implicated, much less found guilty of such things. secondly, if you beleive the propogandist hype then you also believe that there were never anything with WMDs to be found over, yet we still also got accused, by these same media wackos, of losing these nonexistent WMD's after discovering a stash..that supposedly still did not exist. so if you can explain that logic, then i will accept you resubmitting your question. oh, and the caveat..your logic better make sense. (oh and by the way, in case you werent clear WMD= weapons of mass destruction)

Obviously they need aftercare in dealing with going from war to civil life. For too long we have thrown these kids into battle after a crash course in soldiering and then dump them back into "normal" life and expect them to cope. The first response is typically for a vet to join a police force to keep somewhat of the exitement momentum they have experienced.
They should be counseled and given a free college education with financial support to allow them opportunities after putting their lives on the line for us. It is the right thing to do.

Why don't you go meet some of the fine men and women who serve our country and revise your opinion. And by the way, the ones that have been committing crimes are being / have been punished.
