in terms of top speed,
the thrust SSC has the current record at around 750 mph. I think it uses a pair of F4 phantom engines.
the fastest production car is the Veyron currently, with a top speed o f over 400 km/h.
the fastest accelerating cars would be top fuel dragsters, which hit 100 mph in about .9 seconds.
for a production car, it more depends on the driver, and is impossible to say.
for track times, F1 cars are the fastest.
for a production car, the Radical SR8, Donkervoort, Ultima GTR, and a few other track specials are all up there as well.

Do you mean by acceleration or top speed?
Also do you mean commercially available, or privately produced?
Cause one car can break the sound barrier, but can't do the quarter in 5 seconds.
