Well, since Ohio State finished 1st in all the polls leading up to the NC game, are you saying USC should have been there instead of Florida? Make no mistake, the Buckeyes earned the right to play in the NC game and so did Florida. Michigan did not by losing to Ohio State and USC lost its opportunity by losing to UCLA. Any other configuration is nothing but pure speculation. I offer my congratulations to the Florida Gators, National Champs,2006. And next year.....Go Blue!!

In a playoff scenario it would have come down to these three LSU - USC & Florida. CFB fans are so brainwashed that they fail to see that in real playoffs like the Superbowl the divisons each play each other and winners advance on. Their are a couple wild cards which one would have been LSU this year. Then they play it out on the field. The best record team wins sometime and sometime it is the wild card like Pittsburgh last year.

This year USC and LSU would have advanced on and Ohio State would have been a first round bust. But in college they skip the whole process and it becomes a beauty paegant more than a championship.

Are you nuts ? USC lost two games to unranked teams. There are alot of 11-2 teams out there. So, why is USC deserving more than a one loss team or an undefeated team or anther 2 loss team ? Their conference has a total of 3 ranked teams. The SEC has 6.

Wrong!! The lost two games, to Oregon State, and UCLA, not what you would call dominating programs, Louisville, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Auburn had a better claim than USC.

How can you say that? USC lost to 2 unranked teams. Florida deserved to be there. They only lost to 1 team in the toughest confrence in the nation. And they proved last night that they deserved it.

My two cents - I don't know of anything bigger USC football fan/alum than me, but we honestly blew it against UCLA and Oregon St this year. It wasn't our year.

But now that we saw the way Ohio St. played, I firmly believe it SHOULD HAVE been USC v. Florida..... but we did it to ourselves.

No, Ohio State definitely deserved to be there if you actually watched them play all season long. Last night was clearly an embarrassment to Ohio and college football as well.

Yea right. Oregon State and UCLA? Nice win over Big Ten powerhouse (HA HA HA) Michigan. LSU and Florida, the two best teams in college football this year.
