I really don't think its a sin, religion is base on a book that "Man" wrote not God himself..I go by this be nice and honest respect other and live a good life be happy. Beside wasn't God the one that really wrote the Ten Commandments if so then I really don't see a part in the Ten Commandments that we shouldn't be gay!!!

I heard it somewhere once that said, Sex is evil, sex is a sin, sin's are forgiven so stick it back in.....I think it was a song or something..

Be happy of who you are, because if your mom tells you that your not a real man, tell her this: "yes I am can a real man take it up the a**???"

Tell your mom about PFLAG. This group has really helped people come to terms with their children coming out and how to cope with their children's homosexuality. As far as what you can do for youself, you can join a GSA so you can meet gay and straight students and be in a supportive environment. If you're out of high school, or if you want to do this anyway, you can also join a GLBT youth group, a GLBT campus group or volunteer at a GLBT organization.

There are also some good books both you and your mom can read as well. Here's a list of a few I know of.

1) Now That You Know, by Betty Fairchild and Nancy Hayward
---Things that every parent should know about homosexuality. A long-time classic.

2) On Being Gay, by Brian McNaught.
---Testimonials by GLBT people on their own lives.

3) One Teenager In Ten, by Ann Heron. Ordinary kids tell what it's like to deal with a world that isn't always on their side. A great book for bulding empathy in parents.

4) Beyond Acceptance, by Carolyn Welch Griffin, Marian J. Wirth and Arthur G. Wirth.
---Parents of lesibans and gays talk about their experiences. Good for showing parents they're not alone.

5) The New Loving Someone Gay, by Don Clark.
---Removes much of the mystery and fear that surrounds gay people and helps families and friends confront their own confusion and prejudices to build new, open and more meaningful relationships.

6) Is It A Choice? By Eric Marcus.
---A book that takes a form of Q&A (roughly 300) on homosexuality, it is good for surprising people with what they don't know when they think they know everything.

7) Friends and Family: True Stories of Gay America's Straight Allies, by Dan Woog
---A great book for those who are GLBT and want to know that there are straight people that are supportive and fight for gay rights, or for those straight allies (like me!) who want to know the history of straight allies within the gay movement.

Many of these will be available at your local bookstore or Amazon , as they've been in print for ages. If not, or if you're on a budget, you can rent the from your local library or GLBT organization. I do hope your mom turns around. If not, then I hope that I gave you enough resources so that you can be proud of who you are despite those that don't support you.

Tell her God made you and all man in his image and he is perfect and makes no mistakes. NOone knows his plans for you. Tell her Noah was a drunk, Apostle Paul a murderer, and there were scriptures that pointed to David Jonathan Having Stroong feelings for eachother.

Your mom has a misguided belief, and she is just going to have to accept the fact that you are going to partake in a lifestyle that she chooses not to agree with. She is your mother, and hopefully she will get over it.

Tell her she's wrong. If it's a sin why would God have made you that way? If she believes in God you should ask her if she thinks he makes mistakes. Your answer should be he makes none he made me

you can do what I do -try to stop being gay, but then again you will be lonely and ask yourself why you're doing it (not being gay).

I think as long as you don't read the bible you can go on with your lifestyle, but if you read in the bible you may get scared of all this.
