i know of megaupload and yousendit and sendspace but is there a better one that lets you share more than 500 mb, ? I know that yousendit offers up to 1 gig if you pay but i'm interested in only free services. thanks

www.e-uploads.com lets you upload 500 mb. There's also a program called WinRAR that can split you file into small pieces.

if you want you can setup a VPN network so you dont have to warry about finding online harddrive. i use hamachi its easy to use and you dont have to do much to set it up. i use it my self to sharing files from home to school. a lot of the free online storage site have closed down so what is mostly left is ones that you have to pay for.
