Totally depends on size and location, how far off the ground is it? you could be looking at quite a huge bill for scaffolding. You state it is in a fair condition, if this is the case why re-point? I can only give you an approx. figure because of the aforementioned information has not been given. Lets say the chimney is on a two storey building, and the area that requires re-pointing is above the lead trays, the chimney is three metres high above the lead trays, and has a perimeter of two metres, six square metres in total plus the flaunching around any pots on the top. Approx cost for re-pointing............£800/$1500 + scaffolding cost of approx £400/$750
