Blythe was a 70's doll with eyes that chaged colour when you pulled a string. They stopped making them pretty quick, but in 1997 Gina Garan started photographing a Blythe doll she had been given. She made the doll outfits, carried it around with her and photographed her in an artistic fashion.

She published the photographs in a book called 'This is Blythe' which became popular and sparked new production of the dolls. They are expensive as they are sold largely to adults, have a large fan base built by Gina Garan, are a niche collectors item, and are iconic of a popular photographers work

Blythe is a doll created in 1972 by the American toy company Kenner. Reportedly, she was modeled after drawings by Margaret Keane. Her most notable feature were blinkable eyes that changed color with the pull of a string attached to her head. Blythe dolls were only in production for one year in the U.S. (produced in Hong Kong), during 1972. She was not very popular and faded from store shelves quickly.

No, they're tiny dolls that have extensive heads, way out of share with their bodies. in addition they have super eyes and you could assemble them, yet Ithink they're creepy. The dolls you decrease hair on are commonly purely a head and shoulders.
