Bought a new PC but need word, I have windows XP.

In the shops: Office 2007
Online: Office 2007 (beta)
Most users are still on Office 2003 though
Vista comes with office 2007
This is according to USA
In the UK:
Word 2003 is the latest
But Office 2007 BETA can be downloaded
Office 2007 is realeased in the next few weeks hopefully.

Word 2007, but it is not a standalone package. You have to buy from of the many flavors of Office 2007, the least expensive of which is the Home and Student Edition at $149. It can be loaded on up to three pc's. Below is a link where you can try it before oyu buy it

Word 2003 but soon Office 2007 will be out with a new form of Word it will be soon or the same date as Vista.

The latest version of Word is 2007. It will work with XP.

Try to find someone with a copy of word and load it.
