According to cast members on some of the boards I visit, the armlock you see Tigger doing is standard practice if someone is fiddling with the back of the character, either playing with the zipper or trying to get their hand inside the head.

I do not believe the kid is as innocent as he is making himself out to be. I also do not see any kind of "hit". The visibility in the costume is extremely limited and the character's hand was open, not clenched in a fist.

I believe the kid was trying to undo part of the costume, the character locked the kid's arm and turned toward him, bringing his left arm around with his body and only touched the kid's face accidentally. I saw no indications of an attack with forethought or malice.

Well, whatever was happening, that employee's gonna end up fired because of it. Yeah, it did look like they were just playing, and the way that they were talking in the clip seemed rehearsed. "I can't really describe it, y'know?" and "It's been all a blur to me." I'm sure that it's all been a blur, the releasing of the family video and being paid by the press for interviews and all.

Not that the Tigger couldn't be guilty, but what reason would he have unless he was provoked? He could have quit or been fired if he wasn't satisfied with the job, and why would he randomly choose a day to harass a teenage kid and his father? You'd think that he would have some history of that or whatever...IMHO it sounds like the kid and the father used the handler's absence as an excuse to make fame and money and crap.

Oh, and in the video did anyone notice that at first Tigger just turns around and the kid is yanked over, like he's holding on to the suit?

I'm not sure what was going on, but the boy does not look all that innocent and Tigger does not look all that guilty. And the physical contact is not great enough for the boy's supposed injuries. That father must have immediately smelled money. Get a good lawyer and a good doctor (often in that exact order) and a tiny scratch can become a near death experience. That boy was so unconvincing when I saw him interviewed. The whole thing seemed contrived. This is just another excuse to sue. You can bet there will be a frivolous lawsuit filed that will result in a high dollar out of court settlement. Pathetic!

I'm from New Hampshire, too, like the Monaco family accusing Tigger, so I've seen the clip about a hundred times on the news. Have you seen the update? It said on the news this morning that the Disney Union claims the boy was choking Tigger. Tigger WAS NOT playing, he was defending himself from a rebelious kid who was harassing him. To me it just looks like Tigger just tried to push the kid off of him. The kid was obviously holding onto the back of his suit because he had to push pretty hard to get the kid off of him, and the kid nearly fell over because he wouldn't let go.

The boy and his entire family is pathetic. We all know that Tigger's paw didn't hurt him. It wasn't the "right" thing for Tigger to do, but I know that if I were him I would've done the same thing - I probably would've punched him in right the face.

It looked to me like the boy was grabbing or prodding the character behind his back, and he was just trying to break free. I think the parents were just hot headed, and now that can't back out because it is all over the national news. Either way though, I'm sure they'll get some money out of the Disney Corporation.

I smell a rat.....er I mean brat..... and a jack @$$ of a father just looking for money. this was clearly a set up or a stupid prank gone good ($$$$$$$ in their eyes). Tigger did nothing wrong and just as in the groping case will be exonerated to bounce again.

Next case.
