Do you have a link that proves 63% said that?

It's important that our troops do not feel as though they have lost lives and limbs for nothing but a lie. Thinking back to the military poll it seems that a great many of them need to see a clear purpose behind what they are doing. Many of them are expressing confusion at why they are there and what the mission really is at this point. When troops start to lose sight of the reason they are fighting a war morale crumbles quickly. Whatever direction this war takes after Bush's "new plan" is unveiled, the troops need to understand that direction clearly. That is the best way to improve their morale IMO.

If your going to bash Bush, do it with REAL facts.
63% did not say "get rid of Bush" 63% say the senior military leadership has the best interests of the troops at heart (48% for Bush)
54% approve of the overall job President Bush is doing
and 42% disaprove the way Bush is handling the war.
Want to raise their Morale? Tell the Media to leave them the hell alone. tell the people, like yourself, to stop lying or ignorantly spouting false facts about them and their mission.
81% of the Soldiers questioned said that the media never gets their facts straight and publish inaccurate information.
62% say that this weakens the nation as a whole.
You want to get the morale up? Kick the damn media out.

No 63% don't think that, and the morale of the troops are great, I know I have a son that spent two years in Iraq and the larger majority of those troops support the President. If you want to up there morale, try paying them a decent wage!

Hmmm, increase troop morale? How about this....Put Senators Kennedy and Pelosi in uniform and drop them in the middle of a firefight in Iraq! See how quick they run their hateful mouths then.

1. End the unwinnable war.
2. Beef up military pay and allowances.
3. Put the reserves back in reserve until OUR national security is at stake.
4. Keep our nation's promises to its veterans. Those who currently serve are watching, and they wonder how they'll be treated.

You can start by getting a clue as to what the troops think.
The fact of the matter is that the eyewitnesses to the war (the troops) tend to believe in what we are doing. The people who have not gone out and seen for themselves do not believe in what we are doing.
Who should you listen to, the people who have been there - or the people who have not?

Make progress towards stabilizing Iraq. Get our soldiers out of danger (better IED detection and body armor, better intel about the enemy). If Iraq started dwindling down and the end was in sight for them, morale should improve. For now, it's a stalemate with no end in sight. That can't do much for morale.

Our leadership in D.C. needs to put the "hard press" on bringing our kids home via a quickly phased withdrawl from the Quagmire known as Iraq, enough is enough.
