I am looking at Mandalay, MGM, New York New York and the Luxor, Going with friends to party and let the hair down.

I live in vegas and it all depends if you want expensive hotels well i think one of the nicest is bellagio,mgm,mandalay bay or the wynn which ever one u choose im sure you goning to have to much fun to notice

It depends on how much you want to spend, the type of activities you like and whether you have kids with you. Some good reviews and lists of Las Vegas hotels are in http://lasvegashotelreview.blogspot.com/ . Personally I like the Venetian the best, but it is more expensive. For a mid price hotel, the Luxor has a lot going for it.

I loved Excalibur because I'm into the medieval atmosphere, and there were a lot of great shops there too. I'd love to stay at the Luxor sometime though, or the Hard Rock Hotel since I'm a big music lover :)

We like the Luxor because it is quiet and elegant and a relief from the carnival atmosphere of the strip. But if you're into swimming the Mandalay with its simulated beach and swimming with the sharks (thru plexiglass) is a great experience.

i like the "old" las vegas better downtown but that's just a personal preference
