Merritt Bakery is a terrible place - don't bother.
Blackberry on Park Boulevard is overpriced. Instead, walk one block up Park Boulevard on the same side and eat at the Diggery. They have terrific omelettes and it's cheaper than Blackberry (and less snotty).
I like Lynn & Liu's on Grand Avenue, but it's small so either get there really early or towards the end of breakfast time if you don't want to wait.
Oakland Grill if it's still there - it's down near Jack London Square, but I haven't been there in a few years, so maybe it's not there anymore.
Not in Oakland, but Jim's in Alameda is really one of the best breakfast places around. It's always packed for breakfast on the weekends, but the wait isn't that long.
