You will find that the culture in Boston, like most major cities, is very diverse. Although the city is known to be very Irish. As far as the people I think most are very nice, I do have a biased opinion, I have lived in the area my whole life!

It's wicked aweome!!! LOL!

No really, there is so much rich culture and such diversity in this little city, so much art and youthful energy, that it changes constantly. Boston is always hip to the newest and the latest everything, yet still hanging on to that traditional, old world, feel and that sense of history. It's like no place else in that respect.

As far as the people, we seem a bit reserved at first glance, but if you make the first move to ask a question or stirke up a conversation, people will gladly interact with you... and you'll find that we're quite interesting, intelligent, humorous, and oh so very humble ;)

Boston has a lot to offer when it comes to culture, great museums (Fine Arts, Comtemporary Arts) also others for kids like Children museum or Science museum, Lots of historic buildings, nice theater district, lots of shows (a little Broadway!)
great music at the Symphony orchestra.
The people are nice, maybe not as friendly at first, like in the south, but when they warm up they are great!

the people are very nice when they find out you are new. I went to a vinny T's and the service and staff were GREAT, they also cut a part of my bill and offered to show me around the next day.

It's a very diverse place, because most bigger cities are. It's also a younger city, because there are so many colleges and universities in the area.
