My wife and I decided to do something similar (for a shorter period of time) before we got married. We'd slept together before we got married, and she thought that this self-imposed denial of sex would make our wedding night more "special" somehow.
While it's true that sex is always more satisfying if you haven't had any for a long time, it's not really necessary to wait six whole months in order to get the same effect. A matter of weeks should do it just fine.
Incidentally, in case you're wondering how the wedding night turned out, it was one of the more memorable sexual experiences we've ever had. So I suppose her idea worked.

She's nutty. You're just not supposed to see each other (or have sex) the night before the wedding until the wedding itself. Tell her to get off it. If you guys have already had sex, continuing to do so won't hurt anything.
If it's a question of religion, she shouldn't have been having sex at all until the wedding night.

Actually the rule is not having sex at all until married.Since you're not worried about that then whats the point of waiting 6 months?Since you've already wasted your first time then maybe this will at least give you a little something to look forward to.

If you buy this crock of BS you are nuts.
This is the, get ready for not having sex because she says so test. If you pass this test and still get married be ready to give up your sex life because you will only get some when she wants, if ever.
I would be very wary of marrying anyone who could give up on sex for six months voluntarily.

I'm not Catholic, but a Catholic would tell you you shouldn't have had ANY sex prior to marriage. If it were a crime, you've already committed it. Why worry about it now?

Since the Catholic religion is all made up anyway, and it seems Catholics pick and choose what parts of this made up religion they are going to follow anyway, I say this too is a bunch of B.S.
(I'm not picking on Catholics, all theologies are man-made fictions.)
p.s. Flagger has an excellent point!

This must have been something someone just said. If you are sexually active Year before marriage - I would say continue (BUT not the night before the wedding)
