My english teacher said that we can do a research project on anything we were interested in..... and i cant think of anyting to do. I love music and movies and writing, but i cant seem to think of a good topic in those fields.....HELP

You could do your research on music and choose your favorite singer and band and focus on that. You could also do the same for the other two. Who is your favorite writer? What makes a good author? Also in movies you could just choose a favorite actor or actress and do research on them. You have a lot of great ideas just needed to pull something from the ideas. Good luck.

Don't you hate when a teacher gives such a general assignment? You haven't said how long the paper needs to be, which makes a big difference as to what type of topic to do. For instance, it's a whole lot easier to do a research paper on Ernest Hemingway than J.D. Salinger.
If you really want to stretch your brain cells, maybe you could do a paper on what makes some books translate into great movies while other books fall flat.

Take a book that has been turned into a movie. Discuss the differences in the stories, and talk about how those differences affect the overall themes of the story.
