they hosted both already....but if they want to do it again...they'll have to wait for some time...

Mexico City already hosted Olympics at 1968.
The 1970 FIFA World Cup was held in Mexico.
So it already occurred in the past. Therefore it can happen again - but there are others who want it also.

Mexico CAN and WILL host both events, possibly within the next 20 years.
