Compaq Presario SR2013WM-B Desktop Media Center w/ 2.4GHz AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Processor? I dont have the specs- but do you think its a good buy for the sims2?

It will break down to how much RAM & what graphic card you have.
You gave no helpfull info there, theres not much anyone can tell you.
Edit: heres something that will greatly help you. Just select "The Sims 2" in the drop down menu, then click "can I run it"

No it cannot.
You have integrated graphics with the GeForce 6150 LE,
and only 512MB of RAM.
You will not enjoy the game with this pc , unless you upgrade it with a good video card like the ATI X1950 Pro, or the Nvidia 7600 GT

Check the system requirements of the Sims2 game, and compare it to the system you have.

I would say it would, but I would check the amount of RAM you have first. If its under 512 MB I wouldn't go with the Sims.
