Absolutely, and it still infuriates me that Pete Rose is not in the Hall of Fame but some of these steroid users will get in. They are cheaters.

What makes you think Ken Griffey did not take steroids? For that matter what makes anybody think steroids were not around for Reggie Jackson, or other players of his era to take? Steroids have been around since the late 1940's. Use by athletes was bound to follow. The question you should ask is: Are steroids really anymore dangerous than; say, Aspirin, or milk for that matter. Do YOU know how many people died last year from either of these everyday products?

Perhaps. Fortunately for them, they chose not to put their lives at risk, or taint the game with performance enhancements.

Still, they are free of the invisible asterisk and cloud of suspicion that will hang over the tainted players forever. It will never, ever go away.

In time, it will make Maris, Aaron, Reggie and others look truly special.

People will not forget the cheating. After 80+ years, people still remember what a dirt bag Ty Cobb was.

I think these guys were well aware that players used steroids so it comes at no surprise to them. I do think that they feel as though those players bogus accomplishments should not be measured with theirs.
