Select the CD-Drive and press enter. Let the software boot and then when it comes up with the operating system installed press ESC (Escape) and then press F8 to accept the agreement. The you must DELETE THE PARTION and do a FULL FORMAT! This will then format your computers hard drive YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR WORK AND WILL NEVER GET IT BACK TO BACK IT UP.
Then the setup for windows will start automatically. After installtion you will need the drivers for you PC these can be found on the Dell Website - www.dell.co.uk/support and basically just select wich pc/laptop you have and download the relevent drivers.

REMEMBER YOU WILL LOOSE ALL OF YOUR WORK, DRIVERS, PROGRAMS ETC. THESE WILL BE UNRECOVERABLE!!!
SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RELEVENT DISCS AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE ABLE TO ACCESS THE INTERNET FOR THE DRIVERS AND MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR WORK!

you will possibly no longer have a Dell with the working device on a partition on your confusing stress. notwithstanding, are you particular you're attempting to do a restoration properly? you ought to do a restart and on the black exhibit screen carry down the CTRL and F11 keys on a similar time. you additionally can do a restoration employing your CD: insert the CD - restart the pc - watch the exhibit screen and once you spot "initiate pc from CD" hit the enter key. you ought to then initiate the deploy technique employing the CD. Take each and all the defaults till you get to the area the place it detects your working device. Delete your working device. format employing NTFS and deploy the working device.

most new dells come packaged with nortons ghost on a hidden partition on the hard drive. the original software and windows is placed in this partition. i think you need to either hit f8 or f2 on reboot to bring up the setup screen to do a reformat. by the way its a absolute nightmare to work on dells for a reformat, i've only done one and wouldnt touch another dell. ps if you need to contact customer support don't even bother they are pathetic, save wasting money phoning them by giving it to a professional to fix, if you have any problems.

Use your Recovery disc....IF NOT, give dell a call and ask to speak to a LEVEL 3 Technician...don't waste your time on the lower level techs....if you can get there they will EITHER send you a CD for free to restore it for you or help you STEP BY STEP restore the system.;
