Well Japan is a big topic and the problem with something that large might be that you get sooooo much info that you will have trouble deciding what to write. You could pick an era in the history of Japan, or a part of society like the samurai. I dont know how much latitude you get to choose your topic but you can really narrow things down and find some fascinating info that people will learn from. For example instead of saying "I'm going to write about Japan in WWII." You could research the impact of the war on civilians in Okinawa (the Japanese army convinced many of them to kill themselves rather than live under American rule) or you could discuss different religions in Japan. A narrow topic that is sort of different is far mor einteresting to research and write than just picking a topic like "Japan." Hope this helps.

I think that Japan would be a good research topic. Remember on research topics whatever your main point is that there has to be two sides...I am doing one on Teenage Pregnancy and having a good time...learning a lot actually. I love to research!

I would think that Japan would be a fascinating project to research. A group of Islands with many interesting features, the closeness to China and other Asian countries yet so totally different in its people and way of living, religion etc. Just need to look at the last world war to see what sort of influence they can have on the world and then how they grew, post war, into a great techno nation. The field of study I would think is endless.

Japan is a good research topic, also Asian buisness culture would be a good topic. Proper ettiquette when dealing with Asian buisnessmen/women. They have alot of rules, so that would be facinating.

Sure. You could do a general country report, a report on significant historical periods, or on its effect on the global economy, its societal development since WWII, its feudal period and the culture of the Samurai...
Depends on how broad or specific you want to be. There's lots to research.
