Essentially, she is either dead or somehow phased into the dark Silent Hill world now. Its rather vague. Most movies derived from video games tend to go in that direction, as they were originally designed only to let you Shoot the Monsters and have no real narrative to follow. The same problem exists with "Resident Evil." Boy, there's $5 and 2 hours I'll never get back, heh. Barf!:P

Here is the awnser I found on Movie Spoiler.com (also this is what me and my friends thought at the end of the movie):

There are three worlds; the real one, Silent Hill, and Silent Hill darkness created by Alessa. There are also three girls Alessa, Alessa the little evil girl, and Sharon the good little Alessa. They all are magical in some way since Sharon was born without the aide of a father. At the end of the film the darkness is gone since Alessa got her revenge but evil Alessa wants more. She enters Sharon's body and together with Rose they stay in limbo in the empty ghost world of Silent Hill (but I guess Dahlia is there too). It's like the end of Dark Water.

There is also a similar answer on Wikipedia:
Dark Alessa frees herself from Rose's body through her blood that spills from the wound, healing Rose in the process. Rose's blood spreads, bringing the darkness and rotting away the floor from which Alessa, in her hospital bed, rises. She uses her barbed wire supports to exact her revenge upon the cultists of Silent Hill. As this happens, Rose makes her way to Sharon and holds her. Sharon opens her eyes to see Dark Alessa peering down at her. Sharon passes out. When she awakens, it is made obvious that Sharon and Alessa have reunified. Rose, Sharon, and Dahlia are the only ones to survive the carnage as they are back in the foggy world. Rose and Sharon enter their car, which now starts. As they drive across the chasm at the edge of town, the road reappears. Their dimension is still shrouded in fog, including Brahams and their hometown. Christopher naps at home on the sofa in the real world. Rose and Sharon — still within the fog — enter the house and it is made obvious that they are forever trapped in their separate parallel realities.

They're either in alternate realities, or he somehow died.

If Rose and the daughter died, what was the point of them "winning" the final conflict.

I thought that movie was garbage.

I should just buy a poster of Charlize and be done with my fascination. Wasting 120 minutes on her films is brutal.

She is in an alternate plane as her husband. She and her daughter never really made it out of the "silent hill" world they were trapped in.

I rather enjoyed Silent Hill
I figured they died, but stuck in another plane is good.
