You can do all the right things, and still get a negative result, so don't worry so much about minimizing your risk of miscarrying.

Also, you could go to the doctor and have a blood test. They are accurate 4 days into your pregnancy.

Good luck!

Early prenatal care and following the doctor's advice is the best way to prevent the risk of miscarriage. Please keep in mind that miscarriages are generallly caused by something out of our hands though (chromosomal abnormalities, chemical pregnancies, etc) and nothing can be done to prevent this.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test to check your hcg levels. This is the earliest way to detect a pregnancy. Did you ever have any testing done after your previous losses?
