Well, my dentist told me that it was great that my son (who is now 10) had his teeth come in very very slow. He said it gives him a chance to evaluate the path his permanent teeth will come in. If teeth come too quickly then you don't always know there is a problem till they are there. If they are slow then the xrays can show your dentist crowding or whatnot. Not sure how much truth there is to that, but that is what he told me.
She will start to drool, a lot. And she will fervently gnaw and chew on your finger or toys. I once sat and held a teething toy in my daughters mouth for 20 minutes while she just gummed and gummed. She might pull on her ears a little, have a runny nose and a slight fever. Most doctors say that a runny nose and fever is not indicative of teething but all the women in my family have said that it is the most common symptom when a baby is teething!
Good luck.

My daughter is 6 months old also and just cut her first teeth. But a friend of mine has an 8 month old who is just now getting his teeth. It all depends on your baby when she will get them. I've never heard anything about the longer it takes the better the teeth are. Im sure its just some old wise tell. When she does start teething you will know. My daughter did the drooling thing first, then started putting everything she could in her mouth. Alway a way to tell when its close to cutting is a high fever. If this happenes just give her the recommened dose of children's motrin, it will ease her pain and fever. I hope this helps

I've heard that, but I don't know if it's true. Teething starts before there are any visible signs. There are little red bumps that appear on the gums, but even those don't always show up.
Fussiness, drooling and gnawing on things are signs of teething, but they're also signs of being 6 months old! A light fever may accompany teething as well.

I dont know about that but the obvious signs of teething are drooling, irritability, and excessive mouthing of objects. If you feel her gums you may be able to feel the teeth under the surface. Typically the front bottom come in first. You can also check for teeth with a metal spoon, very gently tap it on her gums and you can hear the clank.

Never heard that one but maybe! It will happen be great ful you havn't had to go through the crabbyness yet. Once you see the drooling, finger biting, clear runny nose, slight fever, you can get ready for the teeth to be coming in!
