For the past couple weeks, my limewire has not been connecting correctly. It only shows one (or sometimes no) bar. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but it hasn't done anything. I've uninstalled it, and reinstalled the latest, and same thing. I've gone through these motions several times each.

My main connection is through Wi-Fi at college, but every now and then I use high speed cable. There is never any change.

Am I the only one dealing with this?

That's usually an indicator of a firewall or virus protection software preventing it from connecting to the internet. Because LimeWire is a very dangerous program, in that it increases your risk of viruses exponentially, many firewalls and virus-prevention software don't let it connect. I have the same problem on my laptop, because I go to places like Taco Bell, and the PX on the military bases. Taco Bell works... the PX doesn't. Just keep looking until you find somewhere that's more lenient. =)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've been having connectivity problems with limewire (and frostwire for that matter) for about the last couple of weeks too. I've had to resort to finding my mp3s on google. It isn't really any big deal to me, but still not as convenient as lime/frostwire.

One cause may be to the fact that wherever your are trying to connect, there is something that may be blocking your signal. Trying moving to a different area or a complete new location.

It's illegal. Your college probably has it blocked.
