The thing is .... I have this friend of mine who is very sensitive and cries A LOT. You see I am really not good at this thing ,making people feel better when they are feeling sad, so when she cries I feel really bad 'cause I couldn't do any thing about it . Please tell me what to say when a person cries to make them feel better!!!!!!!

my friend was in a really bad situation once and i didn't know what to say so i gave her a hug and just said "girl,i love you so much and i wish i could fix it, im sorry that i cant!" and i just sat with her and hugged her. i didn't feel like i was doing anything, but later she told me that it helped cuz she knew i was there for her.

Some people cry just for the attention. I do not have patience for someone like that. I am a rational and realistic person.
Sometimes I encourage people to look at the whole picture and try not to focus on their emotions. Also I encourage people to take things professionally and not always personally. Putting things into perspective sometimes helps.
If your friend is crying because of serious issues going on in her life, I would encourage counseling.

Put your arm around your friend and let them know, you are there for them. A hug always makes me and I am sure everyone feel better. It lets me know, my friends are there, when I need them. Try it and you will also feel better.

i am exactly like that too...when my friends get upset about anything i dont know how to make them feel better what to say or what to do...
you just have to tell them that it will be okay but if you know its not going to be okay then dont tell them...
just try to talk to them...if you cant dont sweat it...find someone hwo can comfort them and get their advice...
