Its not common but it does happen. When I was pregnant with my first child I had a regular period for 3 months and that's when I found out I was 3 months pregnant. Many women try to say that it is not possible to have your period while your pregnant. That is not true, I am proof that it does happen yet, it is just not that common. Another weird thing is that all of my pregnancy tests showed up as negative..it wasn't until I was 3 months that I found out and tested positive.

I had a friend who had periods throughout nearly her whole pregnancy and the first she knew she was having a baby was when she had severe cramps - she went to the bathroom and the head started coming out!! Another friend had 5 months when she "knew" she was pregnant but all the tests (doctors included) said she wasnt.. Finally at 5 months she insisted on more tests and was found to be 5 months pregnant.. The Doctor was astounded - esp as he had prescribed her a pill to get her periods to come back - had she taken it, the baby would have miscarried. She refused to take it because she knew she was pregnant.

It's not common, but it is possible. My grandmother had periods throughout her entire pregnancy. Some women have funny shaped uterus' or some women even have two. Hope that answers your question.
