One of the signs of a dying empire and/or culture is to see enemies everywhere. This was true of early civilizations that embarked on wars to deflect from their internal weaknesses and has continued to be so thru Roman, Inca, Aztec, Spanish, British empires that have faded away. If the USA practised what is stamped on every dollar bill "in God we trust" and lived it out in care for the poor, needy and oppressed of the world in a sacrificial manner they would find the had few enemies, indeed all people's would thank them. Love conquers all.

The Somalian government authorized the strike. London has the capability to take care of their own strike so the US would not be needed.
However, during WWII, American fighter pilots were used to help fight the German Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. Of course, Britain was very appreciative of our help - especially when we entered the War against the Germans and Italians. I don't think they would have survived had we not done so.
Bottom line here is that the New Al Qaeda slogan is, "I can hide no more, forever."

And if 1998 embassy bombing suspects were hiding in London, they would have already been arrested by the UK and sent to the US.

Allow your country to be infested with terrorist and we'll bomb it. Frankly Europe is starting to look like Eurabia, I think we should bomb it as well.
I just wish we'd quit wasting time and money using precision guided weapons. All we need is bigger bombs.
