Both of my parents are dead and there are a lot of times that I miss them and feel alone because they are not with me anymore. I would give anything if they were still alive and I could pick up the phone and tell them how much I love them but I can't do that. Just reading and answering this question has bought tears to my eyes. I can at least say that when both my parents died I was on good terms with both of them.

My dad died in 1982 in a Cessna airplane accident at 42 yrs of age. The only regret I have is that, I had ran all the way from the back of the house to the front to see him pulling away from the curb w/the neighbor/pilot & I was too embarrassed to make a big scene by running out to give him a kiss & tell him "I LOVE YOU". If I had known that was the last time I would've seen him, I would've made sure to run out & make the scene. But then again, I wouldn't have let him leave either.
My mom died in 1999 in a car accident at 57 years of age. 5 minutes prior to her accident she had been at my house, dropping off my children & some medicine for me. I had given her a hug, a kiss & told her "I LOVE YOU". Ran to the door as she walked out to ask how she liked the family picture (my children, granddaughter & I) that I had just given her in her Christmas card. She called back, as she walked to her car, "I Love It!" That was the last I saw or heard...5 minutes later she was involved in a fatal car crash that took her life. (My granddaughter also would've been in the fatal car crash had my daughter not been sick & kept my granddaughter home. The compartment where the car seat was, was the worst.)
Wish they were still here, miss them every single day. My parents gave my sister & I, a perfect fairytale childhood with an abundance of love. No regrets, we had a very close family!

I would leave on good terms.. I talk to my parents daily...
I don't have much to regret.. all lessons.. of which mold me to the person I am
I never ignore their phone call.. I probably wish that I lived closer to see them a little more frequently.
And nope not really.. doesn't make me want to call them.. they know I love them.

Yes more time. You can never spend enough time with loved ones.
I'd be very upset.
I talk to my mom about 20 times a day on the phone and my parents live across the road from me.
:D

My dad already passed away two years ago and I regret telling him that I loved him because we never did have a good relationship.

I would miss my dad greatly but know that he would be in Heaven. As far as my mom is concerned.....I really can't say. I don't have any regrets and I'm not calling her today either.

Gees, what a depressing question. Now I have to call my shrink because all my life all I heard was you are too fat you need to quit smoking and I slammed the door, went to dunkin' donuts and burger king and haven't spoken to them since.

I'd be okay with it because we have a good relationship now and have resolved all of the crap from the past.
