Do the following:
1. On the left hand side of your PSP, there would be a button. Push it up. Then, go to Settings icon on your PSP
2. Go to the last option, which would be Network Settings.
3. Press 'X' then choose 'Infrastructure Mode'. It will search Internet connections for you. Make sure you are close to your Internet Modem. Choose the one which has the most strength.
4. Then test it. If any difficulties, contact Sony. Or go to
http://www.us.playstation.com/psp/
Or read your manual you got with your PSP.

The PSP has wi fi capabilities and can therefore connect to the Internet anywhere with an available wireless connection. More and more stores, coffee shops, and restaurants are becoming wi fi hotspots and can be used to connect to the Internet. All of these public places have unsecure wi fi connections available for free. If you intend to purchase a wireless router in order to have your own wireless connection, I would suggest that you secure it (secure wireless connections can be accessed using passwords or keys of some sort, you can also secure your router by setting up a transmission radius which obviously limits the distance that the wireless signal can be picked up).

I relatively have a psp, and that i had downgrades a number of firmwares. however the only way for you in looking out maximum suitable is by potential of *Google* i won't be in a position to truly provide you lots recommendations.. i'm no expert or something. yet people who often downgrade their psp is by technique of the fact they desire to be waiting to hack, and stuffed their psp with emulators, homebrews and candies. in case you have the main modern-day unique psp firmware. you won't be in a position to hack your psp. So in fact you are able to desire to the two downgrade the psp or await a downgrader to come lower back out.
