What is the normal amount he should be eating?

He should be eating about half his weight in ounces each feeding. For example, if he weighs 8lbs, he should be taking about 4oz. every 3-4hours.

Three to four ounces at a time, every four or five hours is about right. You don't want to give more than 32 ounces a day.

However, babies ONLY eat when they're hungry. If they're not hungry, they won't eat.

As long as your baby is happy and satisfied and gaining weight, everything is fine. Make sure you're getting wet diapers too.

A baby who's on formula should eat maybe 4 hours. Breast feed babys tend to eat ever two hours. Dont be alarmed if your newborn eats more than that. He/she might just be hungry

my son is 6 wks old and he eats 4-5 ozs every 3-4 hours
