Yes. Fair is fair, what if the husband decides later on that he wants more kids and the wife can't have them, he may decide to go elsewhere. Guys always talk about not wanting to get snipped. A vasectomy is an outpatient procedure - getting one's tubes tied is major surgery.
Besides, if the marriage does not work out for whatever reason, it's not fair for one spouse to be able to have more children when the other can't.

Before the doctors would tie your tube-and some women would still get pregnant what they do now is cut off your tube-(ouch) to where it's 100% guaranteed that you will not have any kids. So, there is no reason to have your husband get vasectomy. Unless of course you think he might get someone else pregnant and don't want to take that chance. Otherwise just tying your tubes is enough. Best of luck!

I don't see why he should, other than spite.
My wife got her tubes tied. I was going to get a vasectomy, but my wife had a surgery down there, and the ligation was real easy to add on, so I got off the hook!
Fair is fair? What kind of answer is that? If I got a vasectomy, I wouldn't demand she get her tubes tied. Normally the vasectomy is less invasive, so by all means get the vasectomy.
If your tubes are already tied I cannot fathom a reason for the vasectomy except out of some silly sense of "justice".

It's entirely up to the couple. Sometimes it's an easier alternative for the man to get a vasectomy and it's less invasive than it is for the woman.

Why? If your tubes are tied, you can't get pregnant. It's unnecessary to have him get a vasectomy.

hmmm.. depends on the situation.. tubes can come untied, so i dont see why not. Vasectomies are now reversible, and if you really really really do not want children it seems logical enough to have both done. the man may be rather annoyed though....

It all depends on how well the husband is trusted to have sex with other women/cheat because if the operation was done correctly there is no chance of YOU getting pregnant

Only if the wants to get the vasectomy. You can't force him to get it if he doesn't want it. Hope that helped.

There should be no need. One or the other under most circumstances should be sufficient birth control.
