It doesnt make the zit any smaller, or make it go away any faster, but it does make it look better. You may not want to put it on because it can cause a zit to grow, but if you need to cover it up some coverup's like Bare Minerals, work very well!

Coverup makes it worse because it further clogs the pore and toothpaste is just an urban legend. I suggest getting a cotton swab and putting rubbing alcohol on it and touching it to the zit. It should dry it right out just like most acne products are designed to do.

Coverup doesn't do a good job of covering up the zit or getting rid of it. Use toothpaste or any of the other remedies suggested here.

Yup toothpaste.
But I know about the embarrassment of acne and the need to conceal. You do have to make sure the cover up or concealer has no oil in it. It can make it worse.
The 2 or 3 days it will take it to go away with tooth paste or medication strictly for acne may take longer if you attempt to cover it with makeup.
Try the old "I'm not to proud to show my pimple" or just put on a hat and sunglasses. you'll be back to your same ole beautiful self in no time!!

Yes helps you to cover up the zit. But after you remove the cover up the zit will still exist there. And even if you cover it up.. it will still be a bump in that place.

Toothpaste works, I use it all the time. Cover up makes it worse, although if you are going out somewhere it's OK to use a little bit. Don't use Oxy medications if you have dry skin, they will make your skin peel. Also make sure your cover up, if you wear any, doesn't dry up into an orange powder, because some do and it makes you look freaky.

no coverup will make the infection worse and make the zit last longer

No, that really just makes it worse. You can put alcohol on it to dry it out, or toothpaste with baking soda in it. Both things help. Cover up is good to use if you don't want it to be as noticeable.
