Yes they can. Hair color is one of the traits determined by genetics. Red hair is a recessive trait, so if at least one of the parents have the dominant gene for brown hair there is a chance of the child having brown hair. Basically if only one parent has the dominant brown hair gene, there is a 50/50 chance of the child having brown hair. If both parents have the dominant brown hair gene then the chances of the child having brown hair is 75%

Yeah, both people could have a brown haired recessive gene somewhere in there.

Just like two brown eyed people could have a blue eyed child.

Yes - but only if there are other brown-haired people in their family. If everyone else is blond or red, all bets are off.

If you know the parents' parents (grandparents) hair color you can figure out the "odds" of the childs hair color.

yes. hair color does not always match that of the parents. when my mom was a kid she had blonde hair and the whole rest of her family had brown hair as she got older her hair began to turn darker and is not brown, hair can be weird, when i was born i had orange hair and now its an auburn color
