Alot of other bike makers are equiping more of their Cruisers with Fuel Injection, why hasn't Honda?

I believe the only bike (Cruiser) that Honda produces with EFI is the VTX1800.

Harley and Victory have equipped most of their line up with EFI.
Kawasaki has the 1500 Vulcan, Mean Streak, and Vulcan 900.
Suzuki has the Boulevard C50, Boulevard C90 and Marauder 1600
Yamaha has the Stratoliner/Roadliner and Road Star Warrior

You will find that Honda does that one its other products too. ATVs, Scooters, ect. Not just EFI. They tend to run a few years behind. Honda makes up for it buy building a top notch reliable product. Basically, you can't go wrong with a Honda. Hopefully they will catch up and put EFI in more of their products. I think cost is only a small factor. A Honda is usually for expensive than a comparable Suzuki, Kawi, or Yamaha anyway.

That may be a question you will have to ask the manufacturer. On the sport bikes you would think they would have injected them before the 90's, cruisers are a little more understandable. You naturally get better response from fuel injection along with better fuel economy so why is it that sport bikes didn't recieve injectors til' around 2000? I had a 1987 pontiac grand am back in the day and it was injected, 1987! Sooner or later they will work out the querks and all bikes will be injected but for now I think we will all just set around and anticipate the day the manufacturers remove the head from the a$$.

Many people (like me) won't buy fuel injected bikes as long as we can still get carbs. If you are going to leave a bike stock then fuel injection is better. But if you like to do your own mods and jet your own carb, you don't want fuel injection.

The older bikes just get more and more desirable due to the old technology that the old-schoolers want.

I have a Shadow Aero and was wondering that myself. Yamaha still uses carbs on some of their lower cc bikes. I expect Honda and Yamaha to deplete their carb inventory and will switch to F.I. to meet tougher EPA standards in the next few years.
