Get someone to do it for you. Husband, boyfriend, best friend...........Or just let it go. Use a Venus razor and squat or use a mirror in the bathtub. I found that venus razors don't leave as many knicks and they are easier to use to work around small spaces without cutting off a leg! Good Luck!!!!

Shaving that region of your body is not recommended, as just about any healthcare professional I know of will tell you. I know many people do it, without ever having any problems.
Others develop rashes, folliculitis, and even cellulitis, which in my opinion is far more unattractive than pubic hair, which is a normal part of your body.
If you develop a complication, you may require treatment with antibiotics, and sometimes surgical drainage is necessary.
If you've never had a problem before, you probably won't now either, but you could, especially if you can't see what you are doing.
Many women never shave that area, except what would show in a bathing suit, so there's nothing gross or strange about NOT shaving. If I were you, I'd just leave it alone. Maybe you will get used to it -- if not you can resume your normal routine when you lose your belly.
Addendum -- I have a feeling this will be an unpopular answer.
BUT. . . I see patients almost every day with some time of problem caused by shaving.
AND. . . If you think it's "cleaner." It's not. Women who shave their pubic hair have an increased risk of catching HPV (which causes genital warts and cervical cancer) and also herpes. Pubic hair has a function, it's there for a reason. It's trying to protect you.

I've been wondering about the same thing. I'm due in 4 days & am embarrassed to have all the doctors and nurses see my overgrown patch. I don't remember whether or not I shaved down there for my first child so I asked my friend about what she did & she said she didn't shave either. I feel stupid worrying about such a petty thing, but, you're right, it is gross. Oh well. At least you won't have to see the doctors and nurses on a regular basis after delivery. Good Luck!

I would get brazilians if I could lol...yeah I shave completely just like normal. Just cuz you're a mommy now with a big ol belly doesn't mean you have to have a cavewoman va-jayjay!! Keep up whatever is normal for you! If that's shaving, then shave. I doubt a doctor would be so unprofessional as to judge you for shaving anyways. Back in the day, when it wasn't normal for a woman to shave down there, they'd shave her in labor & delivery anyways. So you're just helping everyone out! :]

I'm having the same problem as you. I've been shaving for so many years the option of "letting it go" really just makes it feel itchy and uncomfortable to me. I can normally get my husband to hold a mirror so I can see it better. I've thought about asking him to do it for me, but I'm not brave enough to do that! LOL, not that I don't trust him, it's just a really sensitive area! If you're willing to be brave, ask your husband/significant other to help you out some - either by doing it for you or holding a mirror to see if helps you out at all. Good luck!

With my first pregnancy I got somewhat big but not big enough that I couldn't do it myself, unfortunately with this one I might. I have been shaving for a good 5 years now and can't stand being full Sasquatch either. Lucky for me I am pretty blind without my glasses (contacts uncomfortable after 3rd month of 1st pregnancy),which means I had to learn to blind shave myself from the beginning.
By the end of this pregnancy I will more than likely not be able to bend over enough to even do it myself, if this happens my hubby will probably do it and if he gets to scared that he will cut me I may ask my little sister or my cousin who also has kids and can't stand not being shaved.

Sit on the side of the tub and hook a mirror to the shower wall. Even if you can't see over your belly, you can see what you need to shave in the mirror.
I've been doing it so long that I just do it blindly, but I can see how someone would be uncomfortable going around her naughty bits with a razor being unable to see.
I would try the mirror. I know girls who have done this, and it's worked for them.

That's not stupid! I wish I had aske that!
Well, I kept shaved as better I could on my first pregnancy, and for the delivery they shaved me again.. so I felt I just waisted my time and effort (you know it's quite difficult to do!).
So, for my second I did not shave, but for the delivery, the did not shave me neither at the hospital!!!! and it was C-section.... imagine how difficult it was fo me to keep the wound clean...yuk! very gross!!!
So, no matter what , I will keep shaving on this (my 3rd) pregnancy, or at least keep it as short as possible, and I would recommend to do so to everyone! You can use a mirror, or even ask your hubby for help.
Good luck!

Take an electric razor to trim it up down there. Or if you have a partner... ask for some assistance. Its not easy thats for sure. I know been there, done it. You could always try lying in the tub & propping up your leg. There you have a little more access to it.

Wow, i cant believe someone actually had the nerve to ask. I was wondering the same thing. I am just where you are, and just getting the point where my belly kinda inhibits things that i took for granted prior to pregnancy. I have had my question answered by looking at your answers....lol I think i am gonna choose the mirror and clippers. I may get brave and break out the razor afterwards....and just be pure fearless. lol Thanks for asking the question...and good luck!!!!
