Only if it's cool to drop bombs on terrorist cells that reside on domestic soil.
Civilians were killed in the attack. While it may be unavoidable, that's never cool.
It's a shady world and aside from the world trade center, we are truly fortunate not have our homeland turn into a battlezone. Keep those fingers crossed.

We did not attack Somalia. We attacks terrorists operating within Somalia. This action has approval from the Somalian government. The answer is yes it was the right thing to do for 2 primary reason. The first is that we are in a Global War on terrorism and should attack terrorists wherever we find them. The second is that the Somalis and Ethiopians have been battling these same terrorists and our actions do provide assistance to them in their efforts.
Sun Spot: I have to agree with you. I did not see any indication that the administration sought approval from Somalia. However Somalia has publicly endorsed the raid as a proper course of action. As to Congress, the President is not required to seek Congressional approval for military action unless he is declaring war or requires additional funding for operations.

They didn't attack Somalia, they attacked Al qaeda in Somalia. Nice try on making American Soldiers look bad.
President Abdullahi Yusuf, head of Somalia's U.N.-backed transitional government, told journalists in Mogadishu that the U.S. "has a right to bombard terrorist suspects who attacked its embassies in Kenya and Tanzania."
Leaders of Somalia's Islamic movement have vowed from their hideouts to launch an Iraq-style guerrilla war, and al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden's deputy has called on militants to carry out suicide attacks on the Ethiopian troops.
Both above taken from the same website you posted.

Whitman said the U.S. conducts "all operations with the close cooperation of our allies in the region" but would not say if Somali officials gave permission for the raid.
White House press secretary Tony Snow said he was not aware of any consultations with Congress before the assault.
I'm not seeing where Somalia asked the US for help? Obviously I'm missing something.

We had the support of Somalia and since we are at war with terrorists I think it was right.
They did terrorize the people of Somalia so I don't see why they would be mad at us for it.

Somolian and Ethopia asked for assistance and the US gave it to them. I don't have a problem with that. The Northern Alliance asked for assistance and the US gave it to them. I don't have any problem with that either.
After the Gulf War the Shiites in Iraq asked for assistance. we didn't give it to them. I regret that decision. Look where we are now.
Now you tell me what you think.
